Jordan Vauvert LDL était un bon album de DSBM dans lequel on pouvait déjà sentir qu'IER cherchait à sortir d'un cadre mais c'est avec 怪談 que les choses sérieuses commencent. La présence d'une cover de Dir En Grey ("残" — et elle est massive) n'est pas un hasard : comme le groupe nippon, IER donne à son DSBM un style avant-gardiste. Si le folklore japonais apporte un vent de déprime, IER crée une atmosphère bigarrée en chantant en espagnol et en puisant dans le black metal industriel/progressif. Ultra dense ! Favorite track: 怨霊.

Nuno Lourenço It has quickly become on of my fav 2018 albums. It's dense, heavy as hell, emotional and inspired. The production is crystal clear and the talent immense. This is a must for BM fans, but the Death Metal intrusions do not pass unnoticed.

Estos espíritus han perdido sus sentidos y recuerdos humanos, y sólo sienten una y otra vez el dolor y tristeza del momento en que murieron. El dolor puede ser tan intenso que buscan la salvación en los humanos -- o simplemente envidian a los humanos sus vidas. En momentos como estos, ellos pueden poseer a las personas. Sitios conocidos como ‘lugares de suicidio’ o ‘áreas propensas a accidentes’ suelen tener la culpa.”
